Welcome to the Greenlee Lab

The retina is an excellent model to study both neural degeneration and neural development.

Currently we are studying retinal changes that accompany Prion Disease to develop diagnostics and study disease pathogenesis.

We are also using the retina as model system to develop tools to help biologists usefully query and integrate large datasets.  These tools are being used to identify and prioritize a manageable number of candidate genes from large numbers of differentially expressed genes returned using standard analyses.
